Informal Dining at The Belmont Hotel
We're delighted to unveil our new dining experience: Horizon at the Belmont Hotel. With fantastic views over the bay, Horizon has been designed to create an airy, stylish and contemporary feel – and offers you one of the very best places to eat in Devon.
Drop in for lunch or afternoon tea - or go and spend a memorable evening, lingering over a fabulous meal.
There are lots of tempting dishes on offer such as the pan seared scallops with crisp pancetta, samphire and a sweet chilli and basil oil, seafood linguini and Creedy Carver duckling, as well as traditional seaside favourites like battered fish and chips.

About the Belmont's Head Chef, Andy Salter
Born in Sidmouth, Andrew attended Exeter and Taunton Colleges, successfully completing his training at the age of 18.
Andrew went on to work at the Royal Glen Hotel as a sous chef for 4 years followed by working on the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II for 5 years before becoming head chef at the Bournemouth F J B Royal Norfolk Hotel and the Kemps Country House Hotel in Dorset.
Andrew returned to Sidmouth in 1996 to start work at the Belmont Hotel and was subsuqeuently promoted to head chef in 2005.
With a team of 10 chefs under his direction, he works alongside the Brend Training Academy apprenticeship scheme. Andrew specialises in British, French & Mediterranean cuisine using local, seasonal and sustainable produce.
‘Horizon’ offers customers the option to dine in a more informal atmosphere whilst still being able to enjoy the wonderful dishes that Andrew and his team create.
