Kitty started at The Victoria Hotel in 2017 on a concord training programme, since then she has progressed up through the ranks to now over four years later has earned herself Assistant Manager & Bar Supervisor title!
Kitty's recent adventure has been shaking up a storm in our new Bertie's Bar, producing our all-new menu inspired by King Edward (Bertie) himself. From the Classic Prince of Wales to our Royal Regatta Cocktail, Kitty and the team worked endlessly, trying and testing their creations to make sure they are nothing short of perfection.
“With the newly refurbished ‘Berties’ Bar we decided to create a special cocktail list that was inspired by the Royals to keep with the theme alongside our traditional cocktails list. We spent hours on these cocktails, from the research, to the trial and error, the garnish, glasses, the training with the staff and to the finished product.
Once you realise you have found the perfect concoction with the right amount of balance you know you’ve got a real crowd-pleaser. We take great pride in making and serving these tasty cocktails to our guests. Luckily for me the feedback has been amazing. Truly makes me very happy after the hours of work that was put into it. Cocktails are an art form, especially in this day and age.
After the last year, we have had it’s been great to see so many people back at the hotel from the regulars to new guests. The response to Berties is unbelievable, it’s now somewhere with a great ambiance and somewhere our guests love to sit, have lunch including our new signature Bertie's crab cakes, a drink or two, during the day, before and after dinner.”
