Exeter Cathedral
Exeter Cathedral is one of the great cathedrals of England, and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture anywhere. Its visual beauty is a story in stone and glass, embroidery and wood of the faith that built it.

Greenway House & Gardens
This is an extraordinary glimpse into the private holiday home of the famous and much-loved author Agatha Christie and her family. The relaxed and atmospheric house is set in the 1950s.

Killerton House
Killerton House, built between 1778-9, brings to life generations of the Aclands, one of Devon's oldest families. Visit to see the house, learn the family's history and walk the landscaped gardens.

Paignton Zoo
With more animals than anyone else in the South West you're in for a really wild time. See them all - giraffes, lions, gorillas, cheetahs and thrilling crocodiles, plus cheeky meerkats, colourful snakes and amazing monkeys.

Powderham Castle
Powderham Castle is located in a unique, picturesque setting just outside Exeter, beside the Exe estuary. Six hundred years of history are contained within the walls of one of England's oldest family homes.

Norman Lockyer Observatory
This unique astronomical observatory just outside Sidmouth regularly hosts wonderful open evenings, where visitors can enjoy a planetarium show and visit the historic telescopes.

Widely regarded as the best model village in the world and a popular attraction for over 50 years, the beautifully crafted exhibits are complemented by an imaginative programme of entertainments.

Bicton Park Botanical Gardens
Magnificent gardens which are Grade 1 listed and span 300 years of horticultural history, nestling in a spectacular setting in the Otter Valley and open all year round.

Budleigh Salterton Riding School
Six miles away from us at The Victoria, Budleigh Salterton Riding School offers horse riding lessons and hacks in the countryside. Many of the rides are over attractive heathland, with great views of the coastline.

Beer Quarry Caves
This fascinating underground quarry has been worked since Roman times, so some 2000 years, and provided Beer stone for famous buildings across the country, including St Paul’s Cathedral.

Jurassic Coast
This unique and beautiful World Heritage Site has over 95 miles of stunning coastline for you to explore. On the way, you can go fossil hunting and learn about The Jurassic Coast's fascinating history, which stretches back 185 million years!

Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery
Located in central Exeter close to Sidmouth. It was voted Museum of the Year 2012 and is home to an amazingly diverse collection.

Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary
A wonderful charity that has been providing sanctuary and care for animals from all over the world for over 50 years. Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary is open every day of the year with free admission.

Sidmouth Golf Club
Set in stunning countryside, and with spectacular sea views, Sidmouth Golf Club will delight the novice or experienced golfer. The Clubhouse, with sensational views of the Jurassic Coast, is a perfect spot to enjoy delicious food, a drink from the bar, and a warm Devon welcome. It’s golf at its finest and it’s very close to the Victoria Hotel.

Sidmouth Museum
"Something to interest everyone of all ages" is the aim of Sidmouth Museum, recently described in a review as a 'gem' amongst museums, which is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Guided Walks depart from the Museum at 10:30am every weekday morning from April to the end of October.

Sidmouth Toy & Model Museum
A unique collection of vintage and modern toys and models for all the family to enjoy. The museum contains the toy and model collection of Ian and Rebecca Gregory which has been accumulated over many years.

Stuart Line Cruises
Stuart Line Cruises offer wonderful sea cruises off the Jurassic Coast which are a much loved activity for our guests. Take in amazing panoramic views of Sidmouth Bay, the seafront and beyond.

Situated only 11 miles from Sidmouth and just off the M5, the Westpoint arena is host to exhibitions, events, conferences and entertainment throughout the year. They host the yearly Devon County Show too.

Dartmoor Zoo
Dartmoor Zoological Park is a 30-acre zoo just north of the village of Sparkwell, on the south-west edge of Dartmoor. From Lions to Jaguars Dartmoor zoo has a wide variety of animals and fun for all ages.

Exmoor Zoo
Exmoor Zoo boasts the only black leopard on exhibit in the UK, plus many other wonderful attractions and animals!
